My Style of Therapy
I listen without judgement and I am here to encourage and support you as you process, heal and grow. I maintain a person-centered approach and believe that you have the capacity for growth and self-actualization. You are the best expert on your life and have the capacity for self-healing.
I am trained to utilize a variety of techniques to meet your needs. These techniques include solution-focused therapy (SFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), art/play therapy and sand tray therapy.
Sand Tray Therapy
Sand tray therapy is a form of expressive therapy which can be used with children, teens and adults. It allows a person to construct their own “microcosm” using miniature toys and sand. These scenes created reflect the person’s own life and allows them the opportunity to move through conflict and remove obstacles.
Sand tray therapy can assist in alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression and can serve as a valuable outlet for those who have been the victim of trauma, abuse or neglect.
